Supportive Partner

Collar Works

Hudson Arthaus is home to Collar Works, a not-for-profit dedicated to the support of emerging and underrepresented artists, working in any media, exhibiting challenging and culturally relevant contemporary artworks. Striving to expand the current art vernacular in New York’s capital region, Collar Works supports and encourages artists by providing a venue for community dialogue focused on serious, provocative and spirited artworks.

Through its on-site office, shared studios and gallery, Collar Works promotes the production and viewing of arts by and for the residents of Hudson Arthaus—as well as the community abroad. In addition, educational opportunities and resources are provided to the people of the community through specific programs and events.

Owner

The Vecino Group

The Vecino Group is a company devoted to housing for the greater good. What does this mean? It means every project we touch—affordable, supportive or otherwise—must address a broader community issue, set an example, give back and inspire the people working on it with a sense of higher purpose.

At 621 River Street, we worked with the City of Troy and residents within the community to keep a piece of Troy’s legacy intact. And this piece—as Hudson Arthaus—ensures the availability of affordable housing and supports the culture of ingenuity for which Troy is known. Together, these look toward a bright, colorful future.
